A woman was charged Tuesday with intentionally setting fire to a vacant Paterson building, authorities said.

Erin Micco, 29, of Paterson, was charged with two counts of aggravated arson, according to a joint statement from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and Paterson police and fire departments.

Police and fire officials were called Tuesday at 8:41 a.m. to help extinguish the two-alarm fire which started at 13 Pearl Street, a vacant two-and-a-half story building, and then spread to a home next door at 15 Pearl Street, the office said.

Nobody was injured in the blaze and the residents at 15 Pearl Street were not displaced, police said.

An investigation was launched, Micco was arrested and charged and was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, the office said.

Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office officials asked anyone with information about the fire to contact their tips line at 1-877-370-PCPO or tips@passaiccountynj.org or to call the Paterson Police Department at 973-321-1111.
