Volunteer firefighter arrested after using “jaws of life” to steal from car wash

A Texas volunteer firefighter has been arrested after he used a piece of department equipment to break into a coin-operated machine at a car wash.

Casey Marre used the “jaws of life” to steal $210 from the quarter dispensing machine in Liberty Hill.

According to the police’s Facebook page, the incident happened on January 17th and surveillance video captured Marre in the act.

Marre has been a volunteer firefighter with the Burnet Fire Department. That’s where he got the “Hurst” rescue tool.

Marre is being charged with criminal mischief and theft.
