VIDEO: Fierce flames rip through home and business, injuring one firefighter

One firefighter was injured Wednesday while battling a raging house fire in Harris County, Texas.

Huge flames shot into the night sky as the fire ripped through the home on N. Eldridge at Emmett. The fierce flames and smoke could be seen pouring out of the house on video shot by KHOU-TV.

Fire crews say high winds and dry conditions fueled the flames– which spread quickly from the home to storage buildings on the same property. The home was apparently being used as a furniture business, the local station reported.

The fire destroyed the house and the other structures, but luckily everyone inside got out safely.

One Cy-Fair Volunteer firefighter reportedly had to be taken to the hospital after suffering an unspecified injury.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
