Salt Lake City firefighters visit the city’s public safety building from time to time. However, last week a whole team had to be called in after a group of officers became trapped inside an elevator in their own building.
The Fire Department posted a video of the rescue on its Facebook page.
In the 911 call transcript, the officers tell the dispatcher, “this is literally the police” and they are stuck inside an elevator at the police headquarters.
When the officer heard that the fire department was on the way, he responded, “Oh great, these jokes write themselves!”
About nine officers stepped out of the elevator to see some smiling firefighters who enjoyed the last laugh.
