Two reported dead in early morning cargo-plane crash


Two people are reportedly dead this morning after an early morning plane crash in West Virginia.

According to sources, the plane’s left wing struck the runway while landing and crashed in a wooded area.

The accident happened at Yeager Airport, and according to WSAZ news, the airport is operating under a Level 3 emergency, which is the highest level. Airport Road has reopened, but only for people who need to get there for airport business. Officials are asking everyone else to avoid the area.

Mirror UK reports the plane is a Mountaineer Cargo, and the company contracts for UPS.

WSAZ reports no names have been released. However, airport officials have confirmed the pilot and co-pilot are the victims.
