Texas firefighter charged in death of fellow rescue worker

A Texas firefighter has been arrested and charged with the death of a fellow Odessa Fire Rescue worker while camping in Colorado.

Evan Gaw was arrested after he
was spotted in a nearby Pueblo County field, not far from where Colorado deputies responded to a KOA campground on Wednesday night after a call came in about shots fired.

Gaw and a fellow coworker were staying at the campground, and the latter was found dead at the scene.

According to News West 9, the slain man was identified as Michael Mack.

Mack was serving with OFR as a firefighter and EMT.

Gaw was processed at the Pueblo County Detention Center on second-degree murder charges.
