Skydiver rescued after being caught in tree branches

OTTAWA COUNTY, MI — A skydiver was rescued after being stuck in tree branches 75-feet above ground, police say.

On Sunday, first responders were dispatched to 15080 Coleman in Grand Haven Township after reports of a skydiver entangled in a large tree, according to a news release from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Grand Haven Township Fire was able to reach the subject with climbing gear and a ladder, according to the news release.

Firefighters freed the skydiver from the parachute and removed them from the tree. The skydiver suffered no injuries, according to the release.
