SFFD Agrees To Settle Drinking Lawsuit

San Francisco has tentatively agreed to settle a lawsuit charging on the job drinking and sexual harassment in the city’s fire department. Kristen Odlaug sued the department last year claiming drinking on-duty by firefighters led to a campaign of sexual harassment against her.

The Chronicle reports the city will pay her $400,000. Several firefighters were found to be drinking on the job since the suit was filed.

Deputy Chief Fred Sanchez was forced to retire in April after charges he let a drunk firefighter drive a department vehicle.
