A female police chief in Marco Island, Florida is suspended after it was discovered that her husband was able to book a COVID-19 vaccination before anyone else.
Marco Island Police Chief Tracy Frazzano’s husband, William Frazzano, was somehow able to get the shot, making an appointment before the reservation website went live.
Fire Chief Chris Byrne was told by Collier County staff that the reservation link had been compromised, and an investigation ensued.
According to NBC-2, City officials said that Mr. Frazzano was identified as the early reservation.
The fire chief did not purge the appointment from the rolls, but did contact the police chief, who amitted that she gave her husband the link but did not think it would go live until scheduled.
While Mr. Frazzano’s husband is 65 or older, both Byrne and Frazzano have been suspended for a month.
