A California woman was arrested on Monday after taking the act of driving under the influence to the next level, including acts such as crashing into a police car, attacking officers and biting a paramedic.
Rohnert Park resident Andromeda Hartwell was arrested after plowing her minivan into two vehicles on Monday night, the first being a case of hit-and-run and the second being a head-on collision with a police car.
Police were made aware of Hartwell’s presence on the road by the first crash victim, who managed to get her license plate number and report it to authorities.
When Hartwell was taken into custody, she reportedly kicked at the officers and struggled to get away. Upon being handed over to EMS personnel for evaluation, she managed to bite a paramedic.
According to the Press Democrat, Hartwell’s passenger, Sergio Johnston, was wanted on a no-bail warrant for parole violation and was taken to the Sonoma County Jail.
After being medically cleared, Hartwell was booked into the same jail on suspicion of DUI, resisting arrest, assaulting a paramedic and misdemeanor hit-and-run. Her bail was set at $10,000.
