The Blue Water Oaks Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 7:10 Monday morning to a structure fire. Mutual aid calls were dispatched to Grandview Volunteer Fire Department, Liberty Chapel Volunteer Fire Dept., and the Alvarado Fire Department. Blue Water Oaks is a small Volunteer Fire Department, one of their engineers wife called him at work. He had to drive six miles on a winding County Roads to get to the station and he was the only one on the engine first on the scene. By this time the north two story end of the house was totally involved. A couple of bystanders assisted in the initial attack to protect the south end of the structure which had a butane tank close to it. The Grandview Volunteer Fire Department arrived with an engine and manpower, Liberty Chapel Volunteer Fire Department arrived with their 3,000 gallon tanker and an engine. The fourth department on scene was the Alvarado Fire Department. Emergency Support Services assisted with liquids and food.
