Old Gurney Plant Fire

The water of Autauga Creek reflects the old Gurney plant as it burned Wednesday night, September 10, 2002 in downtown Prattville, Ala. The buildings, part of the Daniel Pratt complex built in 1859, were completely destroyed. Only the center brick construction was left standing. Units from Montgomery and Millbrook assisted in fighting the blaze and preventing it from spreading.
