The City of Angel, New Mexico, has started its search for a new Fire Chief after the city council unanimously decided to terminate Kevin Henson.

According to the Taso News, Henson was placed on administrative leave last month after allegations that he gave an underage firefighter alcoholic drinks during a conference surfaced.

The employee who made the allegations, who has remained anonymous, said the two of them were at an EMS conference in New Mexico when Henson purchased the drinks and gave them to him. The employee accepted and drank many of the drinks he was provided.

That employee who filed the complaint has since resigned.

The employee’s mother has come forward and said she received a video from her son showing Henson buying the beer and then giving it to her son.

Henson has not commented on the matter.

The city stated that its Human Resources Department completed the investigation and found the allegations legitimate.
