NEW YORK (AP) — Officials say dozens of people have been displaced by a massive that ripped through multiple row houses in the .
They say six firefighters and three civilians were treated Friday for minor injuries.
The FDNY says the blaze broke out just before midnight on Valentine Avenue and East 180th Street in Fordham Heights.
The quickly escalated and spread to seven other two- and three-story buildings. It was contained at 3:04 a.m. but firefighters remained on the scene to monitor hot spots.
A department spokesman says 89 people have been displaced by the blaze.
Health officials advised area residents to keep their windows closed and stay indoors if possible due to acrid smoke from the .
Officials are investigating the cause of the blaze.
