While screaming, “I am ISIS” through the streets of Brooklyn, an unstable man decided to target first responders along Wyckoff Avenue and Stanhope Street on Sunday.
Police say 23-year-old Jancer Abreu was acting “erratically” and threatened two EMTs with a butterfly knife in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn.
Cops said he started punching the windows of an FDNY ambulance shortly after 6 a.m. on Sunday. He was arrested and charged with menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon –according to the NY Post.
Investigators later found out Abreu did not have ties to any terrorist organizations.
