An apartment fire in California resulted in some interesting video footage of locals attempting to knock down the flames, a couple narrowly escaping with their lives and six dead cats.
Garden Grove residents assisted firefighters in tackling the fire,with one man working the attack line hose in his boxer shorts, screaming obscenities at the fire.
The video was posted to ONScene TV, and has around 3,434 views.
Local news station ABC7 reported that Marco Hernandez and his wife barely escaped the fire, and only survived by jumping out of the second-floor window.
“The alarm woke me and my wife. As we woke up, there was a lot of smoke that filled the upper room- our room. The thing is, by the time we knew it, everything was engulfed in smoke. So I went ahead and let my wife down through the window and soon after that, I went ahead and let myself on down,” he said.
Around 55 firefighters were dispatched to handle the fire. At least two units were damaged in the complex fire.
