Firefighters dodge bullets while trying to put out intentionally set brush fire

Firefighters in Oklahoma had two things to worry about Friday. A growing brush fire and bullets being shot their way.

According to ABC-7, the fire was started near Optima Lake.

Supposedly, a man intentionally started the fire after he was found illegally camping near the Dam area and was asked to leave by the game warden.

As firefighters attempted to control the brush fire, the man began firing off bullets at them.

Firefighters hid behind their vehicles for their protection until law enforcement could arrive.

Texas County Sheriff’s deputies were able to find the man and bring him into custody before anyone was hurt.
