Firefighter suffers 2nd, 3rd degree burns while burning brush at fire station

A firefighter from Hebron suffered burns for injuries sustained while burning brush at the station Sunday evening, the Hebron Fire spokesperson said.

According to WLWT News, the 10-year veteran of the department used a flammable liquid to burn the brush and a flash fire ignited, the spokesperson said.

WLWT reports the man has second-and third-degree burns covering 25 percent of his upper body.

He is in serious but stable condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
