A 60-year-old mechanic was found dead after his house caught on fire in the Fernwood neighborhood of Chicago.
A He was found in the upstairs bedroom of his house. The man was said to have injuries not related to the fire.
Investigators are now looking into whether foul play was involved. The home’s other occupants were not at home when the house caught on fire.
At this time, his identity has not been revealed.
After falling through the floor of the home the firefighter was left injured. The firefighter was transported to a hospital and was reported to be in good condition said department spokesman Larry Merritt.
