Firefighter Has Heart Attack On Fire Scene

SHARE

A volunteer firefighter who died on the scene of a fire had a massive heart attack. That’s according to Marinette County Coroner George Smith. He says 64-year-old Firefighter Bob Phillips died within minutes while operating a pumper truck at the fire Thursday night. Phillips volunteered with the Athelstane Fire Department for three years.

After retirement, the veteran firefighter from Pewaukee bought a cabin in Marinette County and lived there part-time.
