Footage of an ambulance being attacked in the Chicago area is making waves online, showcasing just how far the Windy City has declined.
The incident took place in Jackson Park last month, near 67th and South Shore.
Two paramedics inside the vehicle were forced to duck as low as they could to avoid being shot by men who opened fire from a sedan.
According to CBS News, the gunmen positioned themselves by hanging from the car, shooting at the ambulance with wanton disregard for the medics and their mission.
The emergency vehicle belonged to Med Express Ambulance Company.
Despite taking fire, the paramedics pulled a U-Turn to aid a cyclist they believed to have been caught in the crossfire.
A MedEx Ambulance was on the way to a call when at least 5 shots were fired in the direction of the ambulance. The crew observed a man fall to the ground as the shooters passed.
