Firefighters due to go on strike on 4 August could cost more than £30,000, according to the county council. The strike is expected to last for five hours and is the result of a row over job cuts.
The estimate is made up from the cost of military assistance, police support and the hire of protective equipment.
A Suffolk County Council spokesperson warned that 10 days of industrial action would represent a burden of a quarter of a per cent in council tax.
