Bushfire at Point Clare

Firefighters from Kariong, Wyoming, Umina and Gosford were called to a bushfire in Point Clare, near Gosford, at around 3:30 pm Wednesday. On arrival crews were faced with about five hectares alight. By 4:30pm NSW Fire Brigades firefighters with the assistance of the NSW Rural Fire Service had the fire surrounded.

Crews extinguished the blaze in less than two hours.

There were no injuries and no property was damaged.
