Albertson Firefighter Honored For 50 Years

Senator Elaine Phillips recently honored Albertson firefighter Jose DaRocha for his 50 years of service to the Albertson Fire Company.

During his five decades of service, DaRocha has held numerous leadership positions within the Albertson Fire Company, including chief. Currently, ex-chief DaRocha is a member of the Albertson Fire Company Board of Trustees and Board of Directors of the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY).

Phillips presented DaRocha with a legislative resolution she sponsored, which was passed by the Senate, in appreciation for his long and devoted service to the Albertson community. With passage of their solution, DaRocha’s name and legacy of service will be memorialized as part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
