Three firefighters were injured early Sunday morning when a wall collapsed as they battled a Suffolk house fire, officials said.

A woman who was inside also was injured before escaping the house fire.

Dispatchers were called about 12:53 a.m. regarding the blaze in the 5000 block of Bay Circle, part of the Holly Acres neighborhood. The first responding unit arrived at the home 11 minutes later.

Two people were inside the two-story home when the fire started, according to a news release from the city. A smoke detector alerted them and they were able to evacuate before firefighters arrived, although the woman still suffered unspecified injures.

The woman was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, according to the news release.

The three firefighters also were taken to a hospital. Officials said they were in stable condition.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what caused the fire.
