100 firefighters fight to put out three-alarm fire at Maryland high-rise

A firefighter and two people had to be taken to the hospital for after being injured as a fire spread quickly on the ninth floor of a Maryland condo complex.

According to WTOP, it took more than 100 firefighters and hours until crews were able to get the fire under control.

Traffic was shut down near the condo complex as smoke billowed out of the building.

Firefighters had to perform multiple rescues inside the upper floors.

Some people jumped balconies just to escape to safety.

No word yet on what started the fire.
